** Important service update **

Due to staffing changes resulting from reopening the SNO Building in Winter Quater 2022, the UW Tacoma Library will not be able to offer weekend curbside services at the start of Winter Quarter. Please reach out to staff at taclib@uw.edu if you are unable to access materials you need during our regular operating hours.

Follow these steps to use UW Tacoma Library Curbside

(Checking out Laptops or Calculators - Start at Step 3)

  1. Request books or media through UW Libraries Search. Be sure to select ‘Tacoma’ as your pick-up location.

  2. You will receive an email when your materials are on our holdshelf. To check the status of your holds at anytime, log in to your Library Account. Please wait until you recieve a notice that your holds are available before reserving a curbside appointment.

  3. Reserve a curbside window by selecting a day and time at the bottom of this page. You will be prompted to fill out a booking form. If you need assistance, email library staff at taclib@uw.edu.

  4. Curbside pick up is in the Tioga Parking Lot of the Tioga Library Building at 1907 Jefferson St, Tacoma WA.

  5. When you arrive, contact staff at 253-692-4831 (number also on curbside signage at the Library). [Google Directions to Curbside location] Staff will verify your identity over the phone, then check materials out to you.  Staff will only answer this line during curbside appointment windows.

  6. Staff will place materials outside the TLB exit by the Tioga Parking Lot.
